Observations when low tide:
-lots of birds in the water looking for food
-lots of crabs roaming
-schools of small fish in tide pools
-fisherman further out (football field distance about)
---bigger fish further out (assuming)-surfers

Observations when high tide:
-fish jumping every so often
-birds no longer in water
-crabs along wall
-little fish under mangrove (hiding?)
-bigger fish visible from shore


Experiment:
If the tide is higher, the amount of predation will be higher because of the ability for bigger fish to swim in deeper water.
For this experiment I was going to conduct, I wanted to test whether the tide would effect the amount of predation (fish) in the water. So for this experiment, I was forced to go to the location more than once, and also when the tide was high and when the tide was low. I had to look at tide charts that my father had around the house due to him being an avid fisherman. I found the two different times that I would be going, and then went to the location when the tide was low and then made my observations. I then went again when the tide was higher. My observations were different and I was able to make a conclusion based on this.


Conclusion:
Based on the two different times I went to the location, I'm able to make a conclusion for my hypothesis, my hypothesis was correct. My hypothesis is correct because when the tide is lower, the bigger fish will not be able to access the parts of the water where the smaller prey fish are located. At our location when the tide is low, it creates little puddles of water with the ground separating them. So when the tide is low, there is no way for the bigger fish to access them. But when the tide rises, it becomes possible for the predator fish to access these smaller fish, therefore making the predation more evident at those times.
